Akshay Kumar: Hawai stuntbaazi!
Mumbai, May 9 -- Morning my mushroom risottos! I know you missed me yesterday, so here I am, back again with nuggets more natkhat than the last time to make up for the break. So instead of mulling over Moanday blues, let us get started with your dose of daily goss from glamour gaon, which no one else will tell you about. So read on sweetums...
For starters, I've just been informed that Akshay Kumar opted to cancel his weekend trip to Mumbai. Yeah, the actor who's been shooting away from home was missing his family and had planned to spend a couple of days with biwi Twinkle and Aarav puttar before returning to South Africa where he's shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 4.
Reason: Seems he felt it would be better to wrap up the show in a few days and return home on May 10-11 for good instead. Sher Lock Holmes tells me that the actor's done some daring stuntbaazi for his show's music video recently. Apart from spending quality time with the scorpions, who stung him too, Kumar revisited his Khiladi movies days with an airborne stunt.
However, this time he was chilling out in a hammock hanging from a speeding plane... And my super sleuth tells me that it was not only a very difficult sequence, but also time-consuming to get a perfect take. Nonetheless, Akki wasn't perturbed, for he was enjoying the dare-devilry to the fullest, I'm told. And when the shot was okayed, everybody cheered the actor for his stunning stunbaazi.
Chalo, badhiya hai. Now, I just hope the post-production is as perfect. Because the scene he did in one of his Khiladi films, by standing on the outside of a plane, didn't look very real. More the shot-in-the-studio and composited-with-the plane-speeding-in-the-air kinds, I must say. Tsk tsk.

Rani and her Tailor
The actress will wear Sabyasachi on her sleeve on the Cannes red carpet
The latest Indian celebrity to join this year’s Cannes march is an unlikely candidate — Rani Mukerji. The actress — alongside friends Karan Johar and Sabyasachi Mukherjee who is also styling the actress — will be walking the red carpet for Chivas on May 18. “Rani is delighted to walk the red carpet at Cannes for Chivas and is being styled by Sabyasachi,” said Rani’s spokesperson.
Until 2006, Rani shared a warm association with Bollywood’s popular stylist Manish Malhotra. It was when her contemporaries, like Kajol, Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor, also started wearing Manish, she decided to break the monotony. Ever since, the actress has been wearing a lot of Sabyasachi garments both in films and otherwise.
The designer has had Rani walk the ramp as a showstopper on several occasions. Rani hasn’t yet seen the outfit the designer has picked out for her but she is likely to dress Indian.
All those who said that her best is behind her can eat their words
Queen Bee Rani Mukherji is back to being the best and lighting up the screen with her scintillating performances. Masala! loves the new, sexy and upfront Rani who clears the air about her career, dating record and a certain Mr Chopra.
What’s your reaction when you read stories about your marriage every now and then?
This has been happening for the last four years and it’s getting more aggressive by the day. Initially it was entertaining but then it started affecting my work. When you make a film, you have to be involved for about 100-120 days. A lot of directors started getting skeptical and were worried if I would announce my marriage in the midst of a project. It is wrong to spread such rumours. People need to respect me as a person and at least let me have a say in my own marriage! Why would I hide such an milestone from my fans? They are the most important people in my life.
Is Rani dating Aditya Chopra? What's her response when people say that she's a lot like Salman. What’s the sexiest thing about her? The actress reveals all this and much more in the latest issue of Masala! magazine.

Sabya’s date with Rani on Cannes red carpet - Designer describes debut with muse at glam festival as a classic case of ‘beauty and the beast’
May 2010: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes waves in a Sabyasachi sari on the Cannes red carpet.
May 2011: Sabyasachi makes waves on the Cannes red carpet with Rani Mukherjee in a Sabyasachi, of course, by his side.
The Calcutta connection at the famed Festival de Cannes just got stronger — and more fashionable. On May 18, the city’s most celebrated designer will take France’s most celebrated red carpet along with his BFF (best friend forever). Yes, that’s Rani Mukerji, who wore the Sabya look in Black, No One Killed Jessica, Baabul and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, and with whom she shares more than just a Bong connection.
Mr M & Ms M have been picked by Chivas as their designer-muse duo to walk the red carpet. Last year, Rohit Bal and Deepika Padukone were the chosen ones. While Rani is presumably quite poised, preened and pouted about her Cannes debut, Sabyasachi can’t stop seeing the funny side of things. “It’s hilarious. Such a classic case of beauty and the beast!”Having said that, Sabya is “extremely proud” to be a part of Team India at Cannes. “I think it is fantastic for us to be invited. The number of Indians going to Cannes is increasing and that just makes you realise the growing importance of the Hindi film industry,” he tells Metro.
It’s pointless to ask ‘who’ the two will be wearing on the red carpet, but the ‘what’ remains to be seen. The designer has decided to don a black kurta with a sherwani over white churidars and black Oxfords. “It definitely had to be something Indian, something simple, something khadi and in conservative colours like black and white.” While describing his outfit to Metro, he improvised an addition and asked his factory to make him a “nice” embroidered shawl that he “might or might not” carry.
For his muse-in-arms Rani, it will be a Sabya sari and her look will simple, classic and oh-so-retro. Though the details are under wraps, we do know that four net saris are being made at the designer’s Topsia workshop. A look test will be done later in Mumbai. “Since net is thin and flimsy, it won’t overwhelm Rani’s petite frame. The look will be an eclectic balance of conservatism and sexiness. She is a very beautiful woman and anything overdone doesn’t work for her. But I would really love to add a little bit of Frida Kahlo [the Mexican artist being his “perfect muse”] to the look. Maybe the hair…”
Though Sabya appears shy and almost reluctant during the customary bow at the end of each catwalk showing, the red carpet is not making any butterflies flutter in his stomach. Yet. “I am only interested in who all I might be able to spot!” The special someone the weaver of dreams is hoping to bump into? Madonna. “Oh, that would be such a dream!”
Who's paying for Akki's family?
Akshay Kumar is mixing business and pleasure as he shoots for Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 in South Africa.
He is vacationing with his grandmother, mother, wife Twinkle, son Aarav, his sister-in-law Rinke (who's styling him for the show), a niece and nephew and other members of his extended family.
That makes it an entourage of 15 family members! Says a source, "Akshay loves the fact that he can combine work and play.
The family is pretty excited about seeing him perform incredible stunts in Cape Town and are always found on the sets cheering him and the other KKK contestants."
The source adds, "Akshay's mother seems to be very impressed by her son's stunts. She looked really proud when she visited the sets of KKK Torchaar and saw her sher-puttar in action!"The star and his folks are expected to return to Mumbai in the next three days. When asked on whose expense the Khiladi's family was vacationing, the channel refused to comment.
♥ Not the first time...
...that Akshay Kumar has spent time with his family while on a work schedule. He would commute every day from his shoot in Oxford, UK to the country's capital, London to be with family. ('His Daily Commute'; March 24, 2011, HiTLIST). But in SA, it's his entire khandaan.
♥ Me, Too
Govinda attended an awards event in Bangkok a couple of years back and had his entire family wife, son, daughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, so on and so forth tag along. That wasn't all. He insisted that his entire family be put up in the same hotel that he was.
His justification? "My group included my wife, my kids, my make-up man, my spot boy. If I had to take along other family members, I'd have taken loads of people, why so less? I did hear people talking about me getting my family of 10-15 people along. Why 10-15, I would have got 40-50!"

Let's get dangerous
Akshay Kumar shoots for music video for KK4 along with the 13 contestants. Here's looking...
THE MUSIC VIDEO: Akki's maniacal laughter sets the pace. The battle cry through music depicts the heightened level of risk in KKK 4. Through the song's lyrics and the video's look, one can get a fair idea of the kind of physically and mentally challenging tasks set for the contestants.
WHEN IT AIRS: May 9 onwards. The show airs in June.
THE LYRICS: Khatra Kabhi Bolke Nahi aata hai ¦ Jaaiye bhi toh luat ke aata hai.. Sabko harake ¦ Torchaar ko karke par banega koi Thunderstar ¦
THE LOCATION: The music video has been shot against a musty and deserted area with broken metal, sparks, damp surroundings that give out a distinctly eerie and dangerous feeling.
THE LOOK: The contestants are dressed in hot pants, leather jackets and boots in dark colors. To add to the clothes, they sport smoky eyes that speak of impending danger and lusciously painted lips that depict their determination to overcome those dangers.
THE KHATRA: As the props used in the video included binding chains and hand cuffs that had girls restrained to walls and metal pipes trying to escape their metal clothes; most of the contestants ended up with bruises on their wrists...fitting battle scars, we say!
THE MISHAPS: Poonam Pandey tripped over a piece of metal and hurt her high-heeled ankle. Former captain of the Indian women's cricket team Anjum Chopra found herself feeling very uncomfortable in the surroundings, a challenge she had not expected to encounter.
THE SURPRISES: Anjum just might turn out to be the weakest contender on the show. But Smita Bansal, whom we are used to seeing wearing a lehenga and being a docile and submissive daughter-in-law on television, turned out to be a real tigress on the sets of the music video. She not only sizzled in her new look but also managed to give some sexy expressions.
Akshay Kumar signed as Brand Ambassador for two of the world's iconic brands
Bollywood icon with the golden touch, Akshay Kumar, has been signed as Brand Ambassador by two of the world's most iconic, household brand names - Sure, the globally recognished personal grooming range; and Eveready Batteries, India's largest marketer of dry cell batteries. Reflecting the actor's versatility and brand value in the respective domestic and grooming goods' markets, Akshay is the perfect choice to represent both brands.
Akshay Kumar, aka Khiladi Kumar, will now work his charm and appeal on the FMCG industry with his unique trait of instant connect with the audience. The superstar himself believes in endorsing only those brands in which he has full faith and can relate to. Becoming nostalgic when commenting on his new venture with Eveready Batteries, Akshay says, "As a child, whenever I would get a toy I would ask my dad - 'Where is the Eveready?' since Eveready was equal to battery in my mind. It is a pleasure to be associated and promote a brand that is so needed and important in everybody's lives. I thank Eveready for always bringing me and my toys to life."
Deepak Khaitan, Vice Chairman, Eveready is pleased to announce popular youth icon, Akshay, as the new brand ambassador, while the actor is quite Sure and Eveready to be the best symbolic incarnation of the empowered lifestyle these brand reflects.
Akshay Kumar's previous brand endorsements have included LG, Xbox, Levi's and Thumbs Up (a subsidiary of Coca Cola).
Team KKK goes to Cape Town
There is a lot happening on the sets of Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 in Cape Town, where Akshay Kumar is ensconced with the participants — 13 hot women.
The daring actor makes sure he does all the stunts himself, before they are given to the contestants.
Recently, while doing a stunt, the Khiladi was stung by a scorpion. He tweeted, “Filming in Cape Town, only moments ago I was bitten by a scorpion!”Later, to calm his worried fans, Akshay posted a picture of himself with the scorpion, which he had cajoled into becoming his friend. Wrote the actor, “Sunbathing with my new friend, the Scorpion King! Can you see the size of these things! What a pleasure, but what a sting! :)”Added Akshay on his micro-blogging page, “I know this is sadistic but I’m seriously enjoyin ‘torturin’ my latest contestants...”
One of those who’s going through a hard time is World Cup ‘bare it all girl’, model Poonam Pandey, who finds herself left out. She tried bonding with her fellow contestants, but they have all formed their own groups to hang out with. The actresses, including Kashmera Shah, Aarti Chhabria, Mauli Dave, Aashka Goradia, Sambhavna Seth and Smita Bansal have formed their own actresses gang. The rest, including Diandra Soares, Alesia Raut, Mia Uyeda, Dina Umarova and VJ Bani have a model group. Poonam, meanwhile, is being given the cold shoulder.
Are the ladies upset cos she said she would strip, or because she didn’t? Meanwhile, she’s left with only Akshay Kumar for company.Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 is slated to air next month on Colors.
I don`t want to play SRK`s wife or Akshay`s girlfriend: Lara Dutta
Mumbai: Lara Dutta, who recently tied the nuptial with tennis ace Mahesh Bhupati has made up her mind on the kind of roles she would be doing in future. The former Miss Universe has pulled off a stunning performance in a non-commercial flick ‘Chalo Dilli’, her first home production.
In the film, ‘Bheja Fry’ actor Vinay Pathak plays the male lead. The duo makes an unusual yet a refreshing pair.
The stunning lady, whose acting prowess has not been made good use of, has decided she will not like to describe the character that she is playing as “Shah Rukh Khan’s wife or Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend”.
Talking to reporters, Lara said in an interview, “I don`t want to play SRK`s wife or Akshay`s girlfriend anymore." On the same breath she said, "It`s just that in our business, there`s a serious dearth of roles for women. And invariably, a heroine is clad in fancy costumes, great make-up and hair extensions and is reduced to dancing in a film where the song becomes a big hit.”
She would like to essay characters that have substantial worth.
“I have done umpteen number of those myself. And the heroines are either being subjected to being hero`s wife or girlfriend." Hmmm..we`re sure the other beauties have heard that. Now we`re waiting for their take...”, Lara added.
Well…Finally Lara had evaluated her worth as an actress!!!
Keep the spirit high, Lara!

All praise for your friends!
Bollywood celebs are used to having a number of fans who are always singing praises for them. But what happens when one Bollywood celeb cannot stop praising another celeb?? Well, of course such a situation is very rare, especially in Bollywood. But nowadays, many stars are not very hesitant in praising another star in front of everybody. Here we bring to you some of the Bollywood celebs who have gone ahead and praised another.
Recently Shah Rukh Khan went ahead and admitted that it’s not him but Hrithik who kid’s look up to as a role model. SRK even calls Hrithik Roshan a better hero than him. Even though SRK is called the Bollywood ‘Baadshah’, but still he has no qualms in admitting that Hrithik is a better looking superhero, even better than Batsman, Superman and Spiderman.
Kareena Kapoor was really very awestruck after working with Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan in the movie, ‘3 Idiots’. She called Aamir one of the most talented actors alive in Bollywood. Kareena was so captivated by Aamir’s performance that she even called him the ‘God of acting’. Such words from an actress who is ruling Bollywood really mean a lot. Kareena wishes to work with Aamir once again in the future.
Well, it’s not only Shah Rukh who has been praising others all the time. Even Shah Rukh was praised by none other than handsome hunk, Akshay Kumar. Akshay feels that Shah Rukh always makes the box office dance to his tunes which nobody except Amitabh Bachchan can do. He called SRK the real superstar. He feels that King Khan is very honest and he is never afraid to say anything that comes to his mind.
Kareena’s performance in ‘3 Idiots’ was one of her best till date. And she managed to win not only the hearts of millions of her fans but also of the perfectionist Aamir Khan. After the movie, Aamit couldn’t stop praising Kareena at all. Aamir has not only praised Kareena’s acting skill but her looks as well. He called Kareena an outstanding and a natural actress. He feels that she is really commited to her profession and she gets along really well with her co-stars.
Some time back even Shilpa Shetty went ahead and praised another actress’s performance. She gave a rare compliment to none other than Priyanka Chopra after seeing her performance in the movie, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. After watching the movie she had tweeted on a micro-blogging site that she really appreciated Priyanka’s efforts in the movie. The way Priyanka portrayed the role of a woman who kills her seven husbands was really outstanding, according to Shilpa.
Well, the way our Bollywood stars are making it a point to praise their beloved stars, clearly proves that our Bollywood celebs really have the guts to prove it to others that there are not as skeptical of each others as always shown. Way to go, Bollywood!

Akshay turns singer for Fear Factor
Akshay Kumar has entertained viewers with his action and comedy skills. And even impressed us with his culinary skills. But with Fear Factor — Khatron Ke Khiladi 4, we will see the Khiladi Kumar in a new avatar. This time, he's not leaping off a building or turning up the heat in the kitchen. His weapon of choice is the microphone. Akshay has lent his voice for a song that is being turned into a music video for the upcoming stunt based TV show. The video features the show's contestants. Maybe Akshay should consider cutting his own album after this, considering the fact that he's already jammed with Snoop Dog and now sung for this video. And certainly, the stunners of KKK would be happy to appear in his video. So, any plans Akki?

Rani Mukerji at Cannes 2011
Indian representation list at Cannes 2011 just got more impressive...
After the ever-increasing Indian representation at the Cannes Film Festival, there's another name added to the list. It's none other than Rani Mukerji, who, along with Karan Johar will walk the Chivas red carpet on May 18.
The actress has asked for Sabyasachi to design her Cannes outfit. This year, Saif Ali Khan, too, is set to make his debut at Cannes, and actress Minissha Lamba is excited about being present there as well.
Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will grace the festival as L'Oreal brand ambassadors, besides being established talent in their own right. All in all, it looks like this festival will be an interesting one from the point of view of the Indian diaspora.

Aishwarya Rai will have company at Cannes
First it was just Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto and Mallika Sherawat who were supposed to represent India on a global platform, by walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival that begins this May 11.
Then the news of other B-towners like Saif Ali Khan and Minissha Lamba flying to the French Riviera cropped up. Obviously, everybody was excited at the prospects of an increased Indian presence at the international festival. Now, it turns out that adding to the list will be film-maker Karan Johar, actor Rani Mukerji, fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukerji and filmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.
Sources in the know say that the trio are being flown to Cannes by the same brand that Saif will represent there this year. “Last year they had taken Deepika Padukone and Rohit Bal. The brand apparently wants to be responsible for the maximum Bolly presence at Cannes this year,” says a source.
While most actors are keeping details about their outfits a heavily guarded secret, it has been made known that Sabya will be designing for and styling Rani’s look for the event. “Saif will be there on the 11th. But KJo, Sabya and Rani will be there on the 18th. All of them will be at the festival for just one day. The brand is also hosting an after party there, which Saif will attend. But the trio’s itinerary is not yet finalised,” says the source adding that if things go as planned KJo might even deliver a talk on Indian cinema there. But that’s just the tentative plan.

EXCLUSIVE: On the Sets of Desi Boyz in London!
Akshay Kumar also shot scenes with several extras in Wood Green on the street and inside a supermarket. The last days of the schedule were spent at The Galleria shopping centre in Hatfield where Kumar filmed scenes dressed as a security guard.
Someone tweeted about the shooting: "Walk into work and their filming a Bollywood film here, where's Aishwarya Rai? #disappointed."
Varun Dhawan, brother of the director was a regular visitor on the set. Varun has previously assisted Karan Johar on My Name Is Khan and will be launched in Johar's next directorial venture Student of the Year.
Kirron Kher was holidaying in London and spent some time with Anupam Kher. Arjun Kapoor, cousin of Sonam Kapoor was also spending time on the sets. He will make his acting debut in Yash Raj Film's Virus Diwan.

EXCLUSIVE: On the Sets of Desi Boyz in London!
One source described a shooting scene with Akshay, John and Deepika at a cafe, "shoot being set up in London with backdrop of Tower Bridge. Filming a colourful outdoor restaurant scene." This was on the same day as the final cricket worldcup match where the crew sneaked into the cafe all the time to check the scores.
A scene between Kumar and Abraham was filmed on Shad Thames, a historic riverside street near Tower Bridge.
Akshay Kumar enjoyed walking around while his son was feeding the ducks. While, Akshay enjoyed a healthy lunch at Zizzi with his son Aarav and his trainer, John indulged into Bengali food at the Bengali Clipper. Deepika Padukone, who had a day off came to visit her co-actors after shopping in London. She was sipping her coffee at Pizza Express and observed the filming through the windows. Padukone later joined them and seemed to enjoy the company of her male co-stars.
Check out: Akshay Kumar's Eveready campaign

Akshay Saif to come together again in 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari' sequel
It’s tough to forget the dance floor with blinking colourful lights, the whistle and the tough dance moves executed by one of the hit jodis Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in the title track of the 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anari.
The story of an actor trying to help a cop out in a murder case became an instant hit. Saif, it seems, wants to go back to the action thriller once again.
The actor, after 17 long years has decided to make a sequel with his original co-star Akshay under the banner of Illuminati Films, his own production house.
“You know the funny part is that I wanted to make a sequel to Main Khiladi Tu Anari with Akshay when it had released but people asked me not to be silly since sequels don’t work in India. I however, kept saying that they do.
Sequels work all the time in America. Making a sequel to the the film is a pretty good idea and I might do it now,” confirms Saif.
Though Saif has too many films on hand as a producer at the moment, his plan to remake the 1994 hit is definitely on.

Akshay wants to remake Tamil film 'Ko'
Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn are not the only actors to keep watch on good South films; Akshay Kumar, too, has joined the bandwagon. The actor has started watching them quite often these days. It's believed that he is planning to remake a Tamil film 'Ko' in Hindi.
According to an industry insider, the actor attended a special screening of the recently released Tamil film 'KO' and was impressed by the story. It is believed that Akki spoke to director KV Anand and expressed his desire to buy the remake rights of the film.
The source adds that the actor also discussed about producing the remake under his banner. If that happens, Akshay will be seen in the role of a photojournalist, played by Jeeva in the original. Akshay is yet to decide his director though names like Priyadarshan and Anthony D'Souza being considered.
Apart from Jeeva, 'Ko' starred Karthika and Prakash Raaj in lead roles.

‘It’s Akshay not Mahesh’
She has denied it but speculation is rife that Mahesh Bhupathi has done a cameo in wife Lara Dutta's debut production, Challo Dilli, after the tennis ace during a promotional campaign in the capital, admitted as much. But director Shashant Shah insists that the rumours are untrue. “The media had been asking Mahesh if he's acting in the film so he just gave them a half answer during the Delhi Daredevils IPL match. He is a rockstar and I'd love to work with him some day but in Challo Dilli, it's a top movie star who's made a guest appearance.”
Quiz him on the identity of the actor and Shah says it could be any one of Lara's co-stars from Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Akshay Kumar. He refuses to confirm the news but apparently it's Akshay, Lara's first co-star from Andaz, who'll spring the surprise. Shah's been working on two other scripts and would love to collaborate with Eros International, Mahesh's Big Daddy Productions and Lara's Bheegi Basanti Entertainment on his second movie too.
He recalls how after the first cut of Chalo Dilli was screened, the unit had a party at Vinay's (Pathak) place. “I was discussing with my editor how we could up the pace of the film a bit when Mahesh walked in and wondered if we were on to our next film. When told I was still on Chalo Dilli, he insisted I give him a new script to produce. He was in the middle of planning his marriage and honeymoon at the time and already thinking of his next production,” laughs Shah.
He admits that many were sceptical about him sticking to the promised deadline but he kept his commitment and wrapped up the film in 33 days with a three-day break. This, even though on the first day of the shoot at Jaipur airport, it suddenly started raining. On another occasion, when their time ran out, the train they were in, suddenly started moving.

“I wasn't fazed by the unexpected twists, not even when we failed to find cockroaches in Jhujhuna after a two-day search,” chuckles Shah, who sent his team to the railway canteen where they finally caught their cockroach. “It was supposed to be killed by Vinay in the film but we were careful not to injure it. And after the shoot, my production designer returned it to the canteen.”

Saif-Akshay, version 2.0

Though Saif has too many films on hand as a producer at the moment, his plan to remake the 1994 hit is definitely on.Meanwhile, after completing Agent Vinod, Illuminati Films is choc-a-bloc with films like Homi Adajania's project tentatively titled Cocktail, a film with Raj and DK which will star his sister's boyfriend Kunal Khemmu and a film with Fox Studios based on a comic book.
Clearing the air about him trying to give Kunal's career a much-required push through his project with Raj and DK, Saif says, "That's not the reason I am doing the film and while I would love to support my family and friends, I don't believe in it.
The fact is that Kunal sent the directors to me as they were looking for a producer. I liked the script and Kunal fit the role. And yes, Soha is not part of the film."
On a spree to clear all misunderstandings and mis-reporting by the media, Saif who has been training in a new form of martial arts, that too from a Vietnam based action director for his film Agent Vinod, went on to explain what exactly happened between him and Sriram Raghavan. "I never bothered to clarify.
I knew once the shoot starts, everything will be fine. Sriram is very much the captain of the ship. There were never any differences," said the actor.
When asked why the films with Vishal Bhardwaj, Kunal Kohli and Siddharth Anand, incidentally all starring Priyanka Chopra (the actress not being a particular favourite with Kareena Kapoor) failed to take off with Saif who was being considered initially, the actor replied, "I have three films with Deepika. Isn't it strange? First of all, I don't think there is any issue here. We can keep our professional and personal lives separate."

Akshay Kumar back in action with 'Rowdy Rathore'
After a time gap of nearly 10 years, Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar will be seen back in action with his forthcoming project, 'Rowdy Rathore', to be directed by Prabhu Deva.
The out-and-out action film will be co-produced by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and designer Shabinaa Khan.Besides Akki, 'Rowdy Rathore' will also feature the 'Dabangg' actress Sonakshi Sinha.A little birdie familiar with the matter told Mid-Day, “Rowdy Rathore is expected to break the stereotypical boundaries of action genre. It will see Akshay get back to the space in which he remains undefeated -- hardcore action! Audiences have loved him in action sequences.”
Akshay to undergo severe training
For the upcoming project 'Rowdy Rathore', Akshay Kumar will have to undergo three months of austere physical training in order to have a toned body complying with his character.
Interestingly, the producers and director of the film are chalking out plans to rope in an international team for the fight and action segments. It's also believed that Akshay will also be trained in a special form of martial art.
“Although he has one of the best physiques in B-Town today, for Rowdy Rathore he will require a leaner, muscular and toned body for which he will have to undergo training,” said the little birdie.
A new experience for Bhansali, Shabinaa
While the 'Black' filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be producing an action genre for the first time, Shabinaa Khan will be producing a film for the first time.
Sharing his new experience, Bhansali said, “An action film is a totally alien concept for me. At this juncture as a filmmaker, I want to move out of the comfort zone and do things that are new and untried.”
Commenting about roping in Akshay Kumar, Shabinaa said, “Rowdy Rathore is an action-packed script and we felt that only Akshay could do complete justice to the role. He hasn't starred in an out-and-out action film for the last 10 years, so Rowdy Rathore will bring him back into his space like never before."

Khiladi can't enter Baadshah's territory
In just one stroke, Shah Rukh Khan showed Akshay Kumar who really is the king of the jungle. Just the way lions mark their territory to other creatures and possible intruders, Shah Rukh proved to the Khiladi that he continues to be number one. Here's what happened.
Akshay Kumar and his friend cum co-star Suniel Shetty were promoting their film Thank You in Bandra. The actors were in the Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo bus (based on the song from the film) that was offering free rides to couples in Bandstand. The media, too, was happily surrounding the actors until...SRK came into the picture, literally.
Shah Rukh's house Mannat is at Bandstand, and Akshay's bus was parked right next to it. Possibly listening to all the commotion, SRK alongwith wife Gauri and a few others came out to his balcony.
What then?! Of course, all the paparazzi turned away from Akshay and Suniel and started clicking the happily waving Shah Rukh.
"We don't know what made SRK do that. Was it deliberate? Maybe, he wanted to take the limelight away from Akshay. In the past there have been news about a rivalry between them but later they met and hit it off. However, with yesterday evening's event it seems that SRK didn't like the presence of another star getting all the attention and that too just outside his house. His instant reaction was to come out and show the world the attention he can get."
Well, we're not sure if King Khan did this for attention or just out of curiosity but it sure seems like Singh is not king!

"At this juncture as a filmmaker, I want to move out of the comfort zone and do things that are new and untried," the Guzaarish director said.
